| Hey everybody!! Hope ya'll are doin dandy! Here is my adventure for the day... (please note to read with hick accent)
So, Big K and I wuz surposed ta paint us a house terday. We jarneyed out East of CC to that there rural community of Green, KS (which is where we wuz told ta paint). Nice little town, might I add. Many cows, not so many people. Also, Green is bout 8 miles from our homestead. So we got ta Green at exactly 9:49 on the pickle. Right on schedule. Or we woulda been, if we coulda found Cavalry Road (this here is the road that tha house is on). Now, there are maybe 6 streets in Green. Batey, Dixon, Lincoln, Limestone, North, and Lasta. Did ya'll happen ter see Cavalry in that there list? Neither did we. So we stopped at the Green cafe to ask the locals fer some help. The locals gathered at the cafe wuz taking part in some sorta brunch/small talk thingermajigger. Also, they wuz all grandmas and they looked at our clothes real funny. So, we jarneyed on back to find two old brauds takin a smoke break. One a the fellers gave us some directions ta Cavalry Road, cause we sure didn't know none bout where twas. Turns out, twas another eight miles up the road. So, we all hitched up in ma purty white car and got ourselves on down the highway.
We found us Cavalry Road and busted a left onto a dirt road. As we looked forward, we seen a duck about quata mile in the distance, flounderin in the mud. At first Ky wuz gonna pull her shotgun outta the back and shoot us some dinner, but then she membered she wuz a veggietarian. So we reckoned we better stop for this there duck. We soon realized that WE COULDN'T STOP WORTH A DARN, and if we didn't back that there thang up, we woulda been stuck in the mud for all eternity. So, I put that foot down on ma achy brakey pedal and we begun to slipper and slide towards that miiiighty duck (twas quite large, standing bout 3 foot high), but it wouldn't move!!! We figgerred he wuz prolly stuck too. As we whallered, we realized that the duck got underneat the vehicle. We thought that duck was a goner. Gone to the big pond in tha sky. We backed on up and got ourselves outta tha mud, and there he was. Standing tall and waddling off into the sunset. We didn't never paint nuttin. The end.
Take it easy to ma people! And member "Ya'll come back naw, ya hear?!" |
